香港教育大學(xué)（教大）為一所政府資助大學(xué)，提供副學(xué)位、學(xué)士學(xué)位、修讀式學(xué)士后及研究生等全方位課程。本校傳承多所前師范院校在教師教育方面的深厚基礎(chǔ)，致力為本港學(xué)校培訓(xùn)優(yōu)秀教師。每年，約有一千名專業(yè)的學(xué)前、小學(xué)及中學(xué)教師于本校畢業(yè)，而本港逾八成已完成培訓(xùn)的幼稚園及小學(xué)教師，以及三成已受訓(xùn)的中學(xué)教師均為本校畢業(yè)生。我們更是發(fā)展特殊教育的先鋒。自2003/2004年度行政長官卓越教學(xué)獎設(shè)立以來，七成半獲獎?wù)咭酁楸拘．厴I(yè)生。在2019Quacquarelli Symonds(QS) 世界大學(xué)學(xué)科的最新排名中，香港教育大學(xué)再教育領(lǐng)域位列全球第九、亞洲第二（僅次于排名全球第七的香港大學(xué)）。
